About this guide
This guide is for users of the Enhesa AI Platform. It explains what is available, how each feature works and what to keep in mind while you use it.
The Enhesa AI Platform adds an AI layer to the Enhesa apps you already use. Once it is switched on for your users, your existing Enhesa apps (Legal Foundations, Forecasters, Requirements Center, Compliance Intelligence and your facilities) are all still there, in a new layout, with AI features alongside them.
Getting started
What is it?
When the Enhesa AI Platform is switched on for you, you sign in as usual and land on a new Home page instead of the Launchpad. All your Enhesa apps are in one place, in a left-hand navigation, and Ask Enhesa, your regulatory compliance assistant, is available from every page.
How do I sign in?
Go to https://app.enhesa.com/home and sign in with your usual login.
What is on the Home page?
[1] Organisation switcher. If you belong to more than one organisation, use the dropdown under the Enhesa logo to switch. If you only have one, it is selected for you.
[2] Apps. Your Enhesa apps: Foundations, Forecasters, Requirement Center, Regulatory Guides, Compliance Intelligence (with AI Applicability underneath it), and any other apps in your subscription. Apps marked "Opens in a new tab" open in a separate browser tab; the rest open in the same window.
[3] Tools. Search, Notifications and Admin.
[4] Account options. Your name at the bottom of the navigation opens your account menu, with My profile and Log out.
[5] Ask Enhesa. The button at the top right of every page opens the Ask Enhesa panel.
[6] Home cards. Shortcuts to the organisation profile, your profile and AI Applicability, each showing its status (for example, "Not researched yet" or "Researched with AI on 5 Nov 2026"), plus suggested questions for Ask Enhesa and a list of your apps.
Profiles: organisation, user and facility
What are profiles?
Profiles hold the context the AI uses to tailor what it shows you. There are three: the organisation profile (who your company is), your user profile (your role and what you are responsible for) and a facility profile for each site (what happens there). Every AI feature reads from the same profiles, so it is worth getting them right first.
The organisation and facility profiles are shared: anyone in your company with the Enhesa AI Platform switched on can see and edit them. Your user profile is your own.
How do I complete the organisation profile?
Only one person in your company needs to do this.
[1] On the Home page, click Open organisation profile.
[2] The header shows the profile status (for example "Not set"), organisation size, annual revenue, operating countries and the number of research sources found.
[3] Click Try again (or Re-run research) to have Enhesa AI research your organisation from public sources. Research fills in the fields it can find and lists its sources at the bottom of the page.
[4] Check the result. Each AI-filled field carries an AI marker with a confidence level: high, medium or low. The From your Enhesa account panel on the right shows the trade name from your contract, which cannot be edited.
[5] Click Edit to correct or add anything by hand. The editable fields are Industry, Headquarters, Organisation size, Annual revenue, Operating countries (separated by commas) and Description. Click Save.
[6] If the research picked the wrong company, correct the details and re-run the research. The What changed table shows each field's previous and current value from the last run, and What to keep in mind lists any doubts the AI had about what it found.
How do I complete my user profile?
Your user profile is optional, and so is the AI research step. If you would rather the AI did not draw on public sources such as LinkedIn, fill it in yourself.
[1] On the Home page, click Open your profile.
[2] Click Re-run research to have Enhesa AI research your role, or click Edit to fill the profile in by hand.
[3] Check your job title, department and location. AI-filled fields carry the AI marker and confidence level, and the sources are listed at the bottom of the page.
[4] Fill in the fields that shape how Ask Enhesa and My Brief prioritise content for you: Domains of interest (for example EHS, Chemicals, Sustainability), Regions of interest, Jurisdictions (where you have day-to-day responsibility), Responsibilities (what you are accountable for) and Interests (important topics for your Brief).
[5] Click Save. Your name and email come from your Enhesa account and cannot be changed here.
How do I complete a facility profile?
Facility profiles are required for AI applicability. Your facilities are already loaded from Compliance Intelligence, so you only need to complete the profile for each one you want to run applicability on. A profile must be 100% complete before you can start a session. To make a profile 100% complete, ensure that you fill in each section.
[1] Go to Compliance Intelligence > AI Applicability in the navigation, or click Open AI Applicability on the Home page.
[2] Find your facility in the list (search by name, country or type) and click Edit profile.
[3] The Identity section shows the facility name, country, city, type and headcount from Compliance Intelligence. The completeness figure in the header updates as you answer.
[4] Work through the questionnaire. Each section is a set of tick boxes or buttons: Facility (facility type), Workforce (number of employees, operating shifts, use of contractors), Operations (manufacturing processes on site, equipment in use), Hazardous materials (chemicals and hazardous materials handled), Emissions, waste and safety (air emissions, waste streams, safety systems in place) and Certifications. Where nothing applies, tick None.
[5] Use Additional notes ("Anything else worth flagging for compliance scoping?") to paste in extra context from other tools. Plain text in any language is fine.
[6] Your answers are saved against the facility as you go. If several facilities are similar, use Copy from another facility to start from one you have already completed, then adjust.
AI Applicability (on-demand)
What is AI Applicability?
AI Applicability uses a facility's profile to suggest which Compliance Intelligence requirements apply to that site. Enhesa AI reads each requirement in scope against the profile, proposes Applicable or Not applicable, and gives a confidence score and its reasoning. You review the results, agree or change them, and decide whether to send them to Compliance Intelligence. Nothing changes in Compliance Intelligence until you click Send.
What does it cover?
EHS requirements in Compliance Intelligence, for facilities with a completed profile. One session runs per facility at a time.
How do I access it?
Go to Compliance Intelligence > AI Applicability in the navigation, or click Open AI Applicability on the Home page. The facilities list shows each facility's name, location and type, with Edit profile and Applicability buttons.
How do I run a session?
[1] Click Applicability next to a facility, or open the facility and choose the Applicability tab. The header shows the profile completeness. If it is below 100%, the Start applicability session button is disabled and a message asks you to complete the profile first; click Go to Profile tab.
[2] Click Start applicability session and choose which requirements to run on:
- Undetermined only (the default and the quickest run): only requirements that have no answer yet in Compliance Intelligence.
- All requirements: every requirement for the facility, including ones a person has already answered.
- Not applicable only: re-checks requirements currently marked Not applicable.
Running on All or Not applicable can propose changes to answers people have already set, so start with Undetermined only.
[3] Enhesa AI pulls the facility's requirements from Compliance Intelligence and scores them. Larger runs take longer. You can leave the page and come back; the session continues in the background.
How do I review the results?
[1] When the run finishes, the banner reads Enhesa AI's answers are ready for review, with who started the session and when, and the note "Nothing has been written to Compliance Intelligence yet."
[2] The How Send changes your answers table shows, for Applicable, Not applicable and Undetermined: what is in Compliance Intelligence now, what was picked for this run, what Enhesa AI proposes, what will change after Send, and what Compliance Intelligence will look like after Send.
[3] The count tiles below show Applicable, Not applicable, Undetermined and Low / med confidence totals for the run. Click a tile or use the filter buttons (All, Applicable, Not applicable, Overridden) to narrow the list. This run shows the requirements in this session; All requirements shows the facility's full set.
[4] Each requirement in the list shows its reference code and topic, the requirement text, what Enhesa AI proposes and what the answer was before (for example "Enhesa AI proposes Applicable (was Undetermined)"), and a confidence score out of 10 (high, medium or low).
[5] Click View source (inline) to expand the requirement's statement, scope, additional information, topic and reference without leaving the list.
[6] To change an answer, use the dropdown on the right of the row (Applicable or Not applicable), or click Open review panel.
[7] The review panel shows the requirement, Enhesa AI reasoning (a numbered chain of steps, each tagged as coming from the requirement, your questionnaire answers, or the conclusion), Your determination (Applicable or Not applicable) and the Guide note from Compliance Intelligence. Use Prev and Next (or the arrow keys) to step through the list.
[8] Sort by Topic (grouped) or Reference code, or use the search box to find a requirement.
How do I send the results to Compliance Intelligence?
[1] When you are satisfied, click Send these N answers to Compliance Intelligence. Only send results you have reviewed and trust: once sent, they are live data in your real facilities, with an audit record showing they came from AI Applicability.
[2] A proposal you changed is sent as your answer. Send never overwrites an answer a person changed in Compliance Intelligence after the run started.
[3] If some answers could not be sent, the banner says so and offers Retry Send.
[4] To throw the run away instead, click Discard. Nothing reaches Compliance Intelligence.
[5] A run waiting for review blocks new runs on the same facility until it is sent or discarded (Re-run assessment stays disabled with the note "Send or discard this review first"). An unreviewed run expires after 7 days.
Good to know
- Sessions are saved and shared. A colleague opening the same facility sees the same session and any changes you made.
- Enhesa AI only ever reasons over requirements within your contracted scope.
Ask Enhesa
What is Ask Enhesa?
Ask Enhesa is your regulatory compliance assistant. You ask a question in plain language and get an answer grounded in your organisation's Enhesa content, with sources you can open and check. It uses your profiles to tailor the answer to your organisation, facilities and role, and it only answers from content your company has contracted for.
How do I access it?
Click the Ask Enhesa button at the top right of any page. The panel opens on the right and stays with you as you move around the app. Suggested questions also appear on the Home page; click one to ask it straight away.
How do I ask a question?
[1] Type your question in the box at the bottom ("Ask a compliance question...") and press Enter to send. Press Shift+Enter for a new line.
[2] While Ask Enhesa works, you see its progress: "Searching Enhesa content...", then "Selecting sources...". Answers to broad questions can take a minute or so.
[3] The answer appears in the panel. Longer answers are structured, with headings, lists and a short list of practical actions for your organisation. Where Ask Enhesa needs more context to narrow the answer (for example which states a site is in), it says so at the end and invites a follow-up.
[4] Click Sources (N) under the answer to see the Enhesa content it drew on. Each source links to the underlying record, for example a Legal Foundation in Foundations or an item in Forecasters, which opens in its own app.
[5] Ask a follow-up in the same conversation; Ask Enhesa remembers the earlier questions and answers.
[6] Use the icons at the top of the panel to start a new conversation, expand the panel to full width, or close it.
What can I ask?
- What a regulation requires of your organisation ("What does REACH require of us?")
- A summary of obligations in a jurisdiction ("Summarise our EHS obligations in Argentina.")
- What has changed recently ("What changed in Australia recently?" or "What's changed in Spain in the last week?")
- Questions tied to a specific facility or topic you work on
- "Who am I?" to check what Ask Enhesa knows about you from your profile
Good to know
- Ask Enhesa is an AI assistant and can make mistakes. Always check the cited sources.
- Answers come from Enhesa's expert-curated content, not the open web.
- Retrieval works best in English and for questions of a sentence or more. Very short or non-English questions may return weaker results for now.
Enhesa MCP Connect
Enhesa MCP Connect lets you use Enhesa content from inside your own AI assistant, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). You sign in with your usual Enhesa login; there is no separate credential.
What it does today
- Search and retrieval over the Enhesa content your company contracts: Legal Foundations, Forecasters and requirements content, returned with references so you can check the source.
- Read-only. Your assistant can look things up, but it cannot change anything in Compliance Intelligence or elsewhere in Enhesa.
- Limited to your contracted scope. The server checks your contract on every request, so your assistant only ever sees what you could see in Enhesa yourself.
What it does not do yet
- The full Ask Enhesa engine (profile-tailored answers, memory across conversations) comes to MCP Connect in a later version. Today it gives search.
- It does not expose your user profile, run applicability or write anything back.
- Conversation history lives in your own assistant, not in Enhesa.
Setting it up
Set-up depends on which assistant your company uses. Contact your account team and we will send you the connection details and walk you through it.
Coming soon
Two more features are on the way. We will tell you when each one is available to you.
My Brief
My Brief replaces your landing page with a personal brief of what has changed in your contracted scope. It has two sections: regulatory changes (new or amended foundations) and what's coming (forecasts). Each entry says what the change means for you and names the facilities or entities it affects, with a link to the app where you deal with it. You can add an entry to a workspace of actions, dismiss it with a reason, or ask Ask Enhesa about it. The brief is generated weekly on Monday by default, or monthly if you prefer. Every piece of AI-written text in it is labelled as Enhesa AI, and each entry has a "Why this reaches you" section showing which of your data put it there.
Always-on applicability
Always-on applicability keeps AI applicability running as new requirements arrive, on a cadence you set per facility (for example nightly, weekly or monthly), rather than only when you start a session yourself. Results still wait for a person to review them before anything reaches Compliance Intelligence.
Data, privacy and AI
Your inputs are not used to train AI models. Profile text, questions you ask and applicability decisions are used to give you answers and to improve the product; they are not used to train any model.
Everything stays within your contract. Ask Enhesa, AI applicability and MCP Connect only read content your company has contracted for, and never show you more than you can already see in Enhesa, including which facilities. A question outside your subscription gets a "not in your subscription" answer rather than a guess.
AI content is labelled. Anything written or filled in by AI, from profile fields to applicability reasoning and Ask Enhesa answers, is marked as AI-generated so you can tell it apart from Enhesa expert content and from your own data.
Nothing writes to Compliance Intelligence without you. AI applicability results are staged for your review and only reach Compliance Intelligence when you choose to send them. Once sent, they are live data in your real facilities, with an audit record showing they came from AI applicability.
Profiles are shared within your company. The organisation profile and facility profiles are visible to, and editable by, every Enhesa AI Platform user in your company. Your user profile is your own.
Limitations and troubleshooting
The Enhesa AI Platform is switched on per user. If a colleague can see it and you cannot, or you still land on the Launchpad, contact your account team so we can check your access.
The organisation research found the wrong company, or nothing
The research starts from your company's trade name and public sources, and it can pick a company with a similar name. Click Edit, correct the headquarters, website or industry, save, then re-run the research. The What to keep in mind panel explains what the AI was unsure about.
My user profile research found the wrong person
The AI only reports a match it is confident about; otherwise it leaves identity fields empty and says so. Fill the profile in by hand with Edit, or skip the research step entirely.
The Start applicability session button is greyed out
The facility profile must be 100% complete. Click Go to Profile tab and answer every section (tick None where nothing applies).
I can't start a new run, and Re-run assessment is disabled
A previous run is waiting for review. Send or discard it first. One session runs per facility at a time, and a session can also have been started by a colleague.
Some answers could not be sent
Click Retry Send. If it keeps failing, note the facility and the time and tell us.
Ask Enhesa says the topic is not in my subscription
Ask Enhesa only answers from content your company contracts. If you think the content should be included, check with your account team.
Ask Enhesa gave an answer with few or no sources, or the demo looked empty
Answers depend on the jurisdictions and content attached to your organisation. If your organisation has no jurisdictions set up yet, there is little for Ask Enhesa to search. Tell us and we will check your configuration.
An app opened in a new tab
Some apps (Regulatory Guides, Professional Development, SDS Author, SDS Manager, PRO Data Tools) open in a separate browser tab. The Enhesa AI Platform stays open in the original tab.
Login trouble
Sign-in is unchanged. For password resets, single sign-on and other login problems, see the Login trouble? articles in Getting started, or contact services@enhesa.com.
Feedback and support
Tell us what you find, whenever you find it. Specific examples and screenshots help most.
- Feedback: contact your account manager or customer success manager, or submit a ticket through this help centre. Specific examples and screenshots help most.
- Reporting a problem: include what you were doing, what you expected and what happened instead, plus the facility or question involved if relevant.
- Support: for anything that stops you working, including login or access problems, contact services@enhesa.com as usual.
